All Brisbane A1 Trailers come complete with an officially stamped Australian VIN compliance plate and an unregistered vehicle permit / Safety Certificate (Roadworthy Certificate) documentation. You simply take our handover paperwork directly to any Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) customer service centre in Queensland to collect your number plates over the counter in minutes.
Hot-dip galvanising involves submerging the entire fabricated steel chassis into a bath of molten zinc at 450°C. This coats both the exterior and interior of all hollow rectangular tubes (RHS), providing a metallurgical rust barrier essential for coastal South East Queensland (Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast). Painted trailers use anti-corrosion etch primer and heavy industrial polyurethane enamel, ideal for custom brand color matching and aesthetic finishes.
Standard models (box, cage, tandem, single axle) are regularly in-stock and ready for immediate or same-week collection from our Rocklea yard. Custom-engineered trailers typically take between 2 to 4 weeks depending on CAD engineering, galvanising bath schedules, and specialized fitouts (such as custom canopies, hydraulic rams, or internal drawer systems).
Under Australian Design Rules (ADR):
- Up to 750kg ATM: No trailer brakes required by law (unbraked single axle).
- 750kg - 2000kg ATM: Brakes required on at least one axle (mechanical disc override brakes are the industry standard).
- 2000kg - 4500kg ATM: 4-wheel electric drum brakes or hydraulic power brakes required on all wheels, plus an automatic emergency breakaway battery system that locks the brakes if the trailer detaches.

We recommend inspecting wheel bearing grease every 6-12 months (or every 3-6 months if frequently exposed to mud, wet aggregates, or harsh site conditions), checking tyre pressures monthly (light truck tyres should typically be 40-45 PSI cold), and rinsing off corrosive road grime or wet aggregates with fresh water after heavy hauling.
